Welcome to the Hiking and Backpacking Interest Group for the California Central Coast Southern Hub! Girl Scouts from any troop and level are welcome to join the hikes and start logging miles toward the Miles Hiked Patches. Troops or individuals are responsible for their own paperwork on Hikes.
Backpack trips are for Cadettes or older that have completed at least 10 miles of hiking on three different days (to meet Safety Wise guidelines) and participated on the pre-trip planning, meetings, and checks. The hikes may be done on your own. Terry is planning on having the backpack trip leader training by March, so the first trip may be in May. Backpack participants will need to provide another set of paperwork to participate.
